ABOUT OSTEOPATHY
Osteopathy is a gentle, non-invasive form of manual therapy that is based on the structure and function relationship of the body. It is a principles-based practice which acknowledges and understands the body's natural ability to self-heal and self-regulate. Osteopathic assessment and treatment aims to find the underlying cause behind the presenting symptoms.
Osteopathy addresses the structural dysfunction that is causing abnormal physiological function (your symptoms). Through coordination, realignment, and restoration of motion of the soft tissues of the body (fascia, muscles, ligaments, etc.), the function of the blood vessels, nerves, and lymphatic vessels is restored.

Clinic Owner & Osteopathic Manual Practitioner
*Currently on maternity leave*
Melanie graduated from the Canadian Academy of Osteopathy in 2023, earning her Master of Practice Diploma in Osteopathic Manual Sciences (M.OMSc). She is a member of OSTCAN, and her treatments are covered by most extended healthcare benefit plans.

Melanie is proud to have founded the first osteopathic clinic in Bancroft, where she is dedicated to serving her hometown and community.
ELIZABETH WRAY D.O.M.P, BScN
Osteopathic Manual Practitioner
Elizabeth is an Osteopathic Manual Practitioner and Registered Nurse with over a decade of clinical experience. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from McMaster University and spent the majority of her career in paediatrics, later gaining additional experience in oral surgery.
Driven by a desire to take a more holistic, hands-on approach to healthcare, Elizabeth pursued her studies at the Canadian College of Osteopathy, where she earned her Diploma in Osteopathic Manual Practice. Her training emphasized the body’s inherent ability to self-regulate and heal, and she uses a variety of osteopathic techniques – including cranial, visceral, and structural approaches – to help restore balance and function.
With a strong foundation in nursing, Elizabeth offers a thoughtful, patient-centred approach that blends clinical knowledge with osteopathic principles. She has a special interest in nervous system dysregulation, acute and chronic pain, and TMJ dysfunction.
Her goal is to identify and treat the root cause of discomfort or dysfunction while empowering patients with the education and tools they need to support their long-term health and well-being.

MARIE MANCHESTER M.OMSc, M.ASc, B.Eng
Osteopathic Manual Practitioner
Marie graduated from the Canadian Academy of Osteopathy in Hamilton in Spring 2025. She is a member of OSTCAN.
She graduated university with a degree in bioresource engineering (2007) and a masters in applied science (2011). After about ten years of working in the field, Marie chose osteopathy as a second career because it provided a way to help others more immediately as well as being intellectually stimulating.
The environment and permaculture remain passions, as evidenced by her love of organic gardening and keeping goats. Marie lives on Morninglory Farm in Killaloe with her family.
"An osteopath is only a human engineer, who should understand all the laws governing his engine and thereby master disease."
- Andrew Taylor Still, Founder of Osteopathy
