WHAT TO EXPECT & FAQs
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR FOR MY TREATMENT?
Please wear loose, comfortable clothing that allows for movement, such as activewear. Please wear socks, and avoid restrictive garments like tight jeans or heavy layers, and avoid dresses or skirts if possible.
HOW LONG WILL TREATMENT TAKE AND HOW MUCH WILL IT COST?
Treatment length and price varies depending on your practitioner. Initial appointments are usually longer and priced higher than follow-up appointments. Please check with your practitioner if you are unsure, or use our online booking link to see pricing and length of treatments.
WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT FOR TREATMENT?
At your first session, your practitioner will greet you and bring you into the treatment room. The session will start with a review of your intake form, health history, lifestyle, and current concerns. After a review of your health history, treatment will begin. Your practitioner will use a hands-on approach to assess the motion of your body. You may be asked to engage by taking deep breaths or making small movements, but treatment is mostly passive, meaning you should let your body relax so that your practitioner can move your body as needed to restore proper motion. Treatment is quite gentle and should not be painful.
ARE TREATMENTS COVERED BY INSURANCE? HOW CAN I PAY?
Osteopathic treatments are not covered under OHIP. However, most major health insurance plans cover osteopathic treatment. Please check with your insurance provider directly to confirm. Our clinic does not do direct billing. Receipts will be provided for you to submit. Please note that treatments are NOT ELIGIBLE for coverage by MVA or WSIB claims. Payment can be made via cash (exact change only), debit/credit, or e-transfer.
